CERAMIC BALLS
CERAMIC BALLS
Ceramic Balls for Aquarium Filtration
Ceramic balls are a biological and mechanical filter media. The porous surface gives beneficial bacteria a large area to colonise, and those bacteria break down ammonia and nitrite. They work in freshwater and saltwater setups.
Key Features:
- Exceptional Porosity: The highly porous design provides an extensive surface area for beneficial bacteria to thrive, aiding in the breakdown of ammonia and nitrites.
- Durable and Long-Lasting: Made from high-quality ceramic material that withstands continuous water flow and resists wear.
- Versatile Compatibility: Suitable for use in canister filters, sumps, hang-on-back filters, and DIY filtration systems.
- Chemical-free: Improves water quality without dosing anything into the tank.
- Compact and Efficient: The spherical shape lets water pass evenly through the media bed.
Who They Suit
Hobbyists and professional aquarists alike. The small size and round shape let you pack a media tray tightly without choking the flow.
How to Use:
- Pre-Rinse: Wash the ceramic balls with aquarium water to remove any dust or residue.
- Filter Placement: Add them to your filter's media tray or chamber so water flows evenly through the media.
- Maintenance: Rinse the balls in aquarium water when you clean the filter. Replace a portion every 6-12 months.
