Puppies need more protein, fat and calcium than adults, in small kibble they can chew. Feed 3 to 4 small meals a day until 6 months, then 2 meals. Large breeds (Labrador, German Shepherd, Rottweiler) should stay on a large-breed puppy formula until 18 months so their joints grow at the right pace.

Deworm every 2 weeks until 12 weeks, then monthly. Flea and tick products for puppies are listed with their minimum age and weight.
