Royal Canin Giant Puppy - 15kg
Royal Canin - Giant Puppy 15Kg
Growth is an essential stage in your dog's life - it's the time of new discoveries, new encounters, and physical changes. During this key period, your giant puppy's immune system is developing gradually and therefore extra nutritional support is highly beneficial. ROYAL CANIN® Giant Puppy food contains a complex of antioxidants that work together to support your puppy's natural defences, as well as its general health. Because your puppy has a vast amount of growing to do, it's important to give your puppy food with nutrients that help to support its high growth rate during the all-important first phase of growth. That's why ROYAL CANIN® Giant Puppy food is specially formulated with an adapted energy content to contribute to healthy and sustained growth. The strategic balance of energy and minerals (such as calcium and phosphorus) in ROYAL CANIN® Giant Puppy contribute to healthy bone mineralisation in giant breed puppies. This helps to support joint and bone consolidation, as well as healthy growth.

Controlled Energy for Growth
A giant breed puppy grows for far longer than a small dog, and the risk over that stretch is growing too fast rather than too slowly. The energy content here is held down on purpose so growth stays steady. The feeding table above runs from 2 months to 8 months by expected adult weight, from 45 kg up to 100 kg, and at 9 months you move on to Giant Junior.
Kibble Shape and Size
The kibble is sized for a large jaw, so a big puppy picks it up and chews it rather than swallowing it whole. Chewing slows the meal down, which helps digestion in a breed that tends to bolt its food.
Supports Joint Health
A giant breed puppy carries a lot of weight on joints that are still forming. The composition includes hydrolysed crustaceans as a source of glucosamine and hydrolysed cartilage as a source of chondroitin, and calcium and phosphorus are held at 1.26% and 1% to support bone mineralisation.
How we work out the portion
A pet's daily energy need starts from its resting requirement — 70 multiplied by body weight in kilograms to the power of 0.75 — then multiplied by a factor for species, life stage and activity. The calculator above uses 1.4 to 2.2 for adult dogs and 1.0 to 1.4 for adult cats.
The gram figure then depends on how many calories are in a kilogram of the food. That varies by formula, so we use a sensible default and show it openly rather than hiding it. If the bag states its own kcal/kg, use that number instead.
Choosing a pack size
The price-per-kilo figure next to every size is the honest comparison — a bigger bag is only better value if the maths says so, and on a handful of lines it currently does not. Buy the size your pet will finish within about six weeks of opening, so the food stays fresh.
