* For adult dogs over 100 pounds, add 1/2 cup for every 10 additional pounds. For pregnant or nursing adult dogs, we recommend free-choice feeding. Some dogs may require more or less food than the guidelines depending on activity level and other factors.

When changing to Taste of the Wild, Manufacturer recommend making a gradual transition over 7-10 days to help avoid possible digestive upset in sensitive pets. Add a small amount of new food to your dog's previous diet, gradually increasing the new and decreasing the previous diet until the transition is complete.

Duck and duck meal lead the ingredient list, with chicken meal behind them, and roasted quail, roasted duck and smoked turkey further down. Crude protein is 32.0% minimum and crude fat 18.0% minimum. Salmon oil supplies DHA at 0.05% minimum. Five dried fermentation products are included as a probiotic blend.

About the Ancient Grains

This recipe is not grain-free. Grain sorghum, millet, cracked pearled barley and quinoa are all in it, and they add protein and fibre alongside the meat. Chia seed, tomatoes, blueberries and raspberries are in there too. Dried chicory root is the fibre source that feeds the gut bacteria.

Perfect for Active Dogs

32.0% protein and 18.0% fat is high for an adult maintenance food, which suits a working dog or a dog that gets a lot of exercise. Omega-6 runs at 2.8% minimum and omega-3 at 0.6% minimum for skin and coat. L-carnitine is listed at 100 mg/kg minimum and taurine at 0.12% minimum.
