Why Choose Frontline Spray for Flea Treatment?
Frontline Spray kills fleas, ticks and biting lice on dogs and cats. The spray format lets you cover the whole coat and control the dose by bodyweight, which suits large breeds and very young animals where a fixed-size spot-on does not fit.
How to Use Frontline Spray Effectively
Hold the bottle about 10 to 20 cm from the coat and spray against the direction of hair growth until the coat is evenly damp. Cover the whole animal, including the base of the tail, the neck and behind the ears. Work in a well-ventilated area. Do not spray the face directly; use a gloved hand instead. Let the coat air dry before the animal mixes with other pets or children.
Safety and Precautions with Frontline Spray
Read the label before use. May be used on puppies and kittens from 2 days of age. Do not use on rabbits. Do not use on sick or convalescent animals. The spray is highly flammable, so keep treated animals away from flames and heat sources until the coat is dry. If an adverse reaction occurs, contact a vet.
How we work out the portion
A pet's daily energy need starts from its resting requirement — 70 multiplied by body weight in kilograms to the power of 0.75 — then multiplied by a factor for species, life stage and activity. The calculator above uses 1.4 to 2.2 for adult dogs and 1.0 to 1.4 for adult cats.
The gram figure then depends on how many calories are in a kilogram of the food. That varies by formula, so we use a sensible default and show it openly rather than hiding it. If the bag states its own kcal/kg, use that number instead.
Choosing a pack size
The price-per-kilo figure next to every size is the honest comparison — a bigger bag is only better value if the maths says so, and on a handful of lines it currently does not. Buy the size your pet will finish within about six weeks of opening, so the food stays fresh.
